Our Workplace Wellness team has launched a Reading Program at Rugare Orphanage. This volunteering program enables team members to exercise our core values of generosity, inspiration and excellence by assisting young children in reading better.
Earlier, ZimWorX had the pleasure, through #the51, of constructing a classroom block to help the orphanage provide a better learning environment for the children under its care.
On another note JW Oliver and our Pastoral Care Team visited Rugare Orphan Care yesterday. The team donated 25 books to give to orphans at the centre.
The joy of the visit was getting to meet the children, hearing their stories and seeing the smiles on their faces. The visit was a clear gesture communicating to them that there is someone, thousands of miles away, who thinks about them and cares for them. We are looking forward to making an impact at the centre through our 51% ministry portion.
