The 51 In Action – “Looking Back on Our Classroom Block Transformation at Rugare Orphanage”

It’s been just over a year since we completed the construction of a three class structure at Rugare Orphanage’s learning spaces and what a difference it has made for the children!

When we first visited the orphanage, our hearts sank as we saw the children learning in an abandoned chicken coop. The conditions were far from ideal, with limited space and a lack of basic amenities. It was clear that the children deserved so much better.

That’s when we knew we had to take action. After assessing their needs, we decided to refurbish a shipping container and create 3 functional classrooms for the kids. It was a big undertaking, but with Mokuba Infratech at the helm of the project, we were able to make it happen.

Now, the Rugare Orphanage has bright, airy, and organized classrooms where the kids can focus on their studies in a safe and nurturing environment. No more learning in drafty chicken coops! The difference this has made in the children’s education and overall well-being is truly remarkable.
